Dear Clients,
As many of you know, integratedPRIVATE was originally built to solve a practical problem for my own accounting practice — I wanted the flexibility to work securely from anywhere without maintaining physical servers in an office.
That was long before cloud platforms became mainstream, before large-scale data centres became the norm, and certainly before AI-driven infrastructure demand changed the global technology landscape.
Over the years, our goal has remained consistent: to provide a stable, secure and high-performing hosted environment at a fair and reasonable price.
To continue doing that properly into the future, we have recently completed a substantial upgrade of our core infrastructure and backend systems.
Building a More Resilient Platform
Over the past several months, we have transitioned our backend to a modern enterprise-grade architecture designed to improve performance, security, redundancy and long-term compatibility.
These upgrades include:
- New Server Infrastructure
We have deployed new high-performance server hardware specifically optimised for Windows Server 2022. This ensures your environment remains on a fully supported platform with improved security capabilities, better resource handling and long-term vendor support.
- Industry-Leading NVMe All-Flash SAN
We have upgraded to a tier-1 all-flash Storage Area Network (SAN) built on enterprise NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) flash technology. While our previous platform was already flash-based, this new architecture delivers significantly higher throughput, lower latency and substantially improved responsiveness across cloud applications and remote desktop sessions.
- End-to-End Redundancy & High Availability
Our storage and networking infrastructure is now fully redundant from the switching layer through to the storage controllers themselves. This removes single points of failure and significantly improves platform resilience and uptime.
- Advanced Ransomware Controls & Data Protection
The upgraded storage platform includes advanced ransomware protection and immutable snapshot technologies designed to improve recovery capability and data resiliency in the event of corruption, deletion or malicious encryption events.
- Comprehensive Server Security
We have also implemented additional ESET File Security protections across the environment to strengthen malware and threat detection capabilities.
Why Pricing Is Changing
We have historically tried to keep pricing increases modest wherever possible, and many clients will know that our pricing has remained comparatively stable over a long period of time.
Unfortunately, the cost of enterprise infrastructure has changed significantly over recent years.
One of the largest contributing factors has been the global surge in demand for high-performance compute, storage and semiconductor capacity driven by the rapid growth of AI technologies and large-scale cloud infrastructure providers. As a result, enterprise hardware costs for server, storage and networking platforms have increased dramatically — in some cases close to three times compared to previous upgrade cycles.
In addition to hardware pricing pressures, we have also experienced continued increases in:
- Microsoft licensing costs
- Data centre operating costs
- Power and cooling costs
- Enterprise support and vendor maintenance costs
- Security and compliance requirements
We have absorbed as much of these increases as reasonably possible over time. However, to continue operating and supporting a modern, secure and properly maintained environment, pricing adjustments will take effect from the new financial year.
Office 2016/2019 & Future Compatibility
Microsoft has now ended mainstream support for Office 2016/2019, and over time we will need to continue assessing the most appropriate pathway for maintaining compatibility between desktop applications and server environments.
There is no immediate action required from clients at this stage. However, maintaining supported and secure software platforms remains an important part of our long-term planning.
Our Commitment
These upgrades have been undertaken to ensure the platform remains stable, secure, performant and properly supported for years to come.
We understand that price increases are never ideal and we genuinely appreciate the trust and loyalty many clients have shown us over a long period of time.
This notice is intended to provide transparency around the reasons for the changes and to ensure clients have adequate notice for their own planning purposes.
